There’s a certain Dance Group in Waimate
Whose members are all very happy
We meet Monday night
And dance with delight
With a break for tea and a chatty.

The dances we do – I’ll draw your attention
Are many and varied – too many to mention
A One-step or Two-step
And sometimes a mis-step
(Needing occasional correction).

We Rock and we Roll
And sometimes we Stroll
We Saunter Serenely
(But seldom extremely)
And usually do well, on the whole.

Do come on a Monday
That’s the day after Sunday
We’ll Foxtrot together
(Whatever the weather)
And all have a jolly good Funday.
